Alkaline primer is used to prepare natural eyelashes before applying extensions. It modifies the pH of the eyelash to slightly open its cuticles, eliminates sebum and moisture residue, and accelerates the drying (polymerization) of the glue for better adhesion.

The key roles of the alkaline primer:

pH modification and cuticle opening: Unlike a classic primer with neutral pH, the alkaline formula allows the scales of the natural eyelash to be gently separated, offering the glue a porous surface ideal for anchoring deeply.

Degreasing and dehydration: It neutralizes the natural moisture and sebum that form an invisible barrier, making eyelashes less slippery.

Glue acceleration: Thanks to its alkalinity, it stimulates the glue (cyanoacrylate based) to polymerize (harden) much faster, which considerably speeds up the setting time and avoids unwanted sticking.

Retention optimization: By creating a stronger bond between the natural lash and the extension, it significantly increases the lifespan of the application.

How and when to use it

Pre-cleaning: Always shampoo your eyelashes (OUWÉL eyelash shampoo) and rinse thoroughly before using the primer.

Application : Place a small amount of product onto two micro-brushes.

Place one brush under the eyelashes and the other above, then gently glide along the entire length.

Drying: Allow to air dry (or use a small fan) before starting the application. The eyelashes must be completely dry.
